Welcome
The School of Library & Information Science (SLIS) offers entirely asynchronous online
undergraduate and graduate programs for students interested in the diverse range of
information fields. We offer an undergraduate minor in Digital Studies and general
education courses. At the graduate level, SLIS offers the Master in Library & Information
Science and Graduate Certificates in Archival Studies, Records & Information Management,
and School Librarianship. The MLIS program has been continuously accredited by the
American Library Association since 1932 and remains the only ALA accredited program
in Louisiana.
