LSU College of Human Sciences & Education to Host Second Annual Career Prep Week

BATON ROUGE, LA — To recognize Workforce Development Month, LSU College of Human Sciences & Education (CHSE), in partnership with the LSU Olinde Career Center (OCC), will hold the second annual CHSE Career Prep Week from September 28 – October 2, 2026.
CHSE Career Prep Week will consist of:
- Monday, September 28: Ready to Roar Intro Table Sit
- Review your résumé and cover letter and explore your major with representatives from the OCC.
- 10:00 am – 2:00 pm, Huey P. Long Field House Ballroom
- Tuesday, September 29: Headshot and Elevator Pitch Prep
- Take a headshot and build your elevator pitch and LinkedIn profile with representatives from the OCC.
- 10:00 am – 2:00 pm, Huey P. Long Field House Ballroom
- Wednesday, September 30: Career Connections
- Network with potential employers, community partners and graduate school programs. Registration required.
- 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm, Huey P. Long Field House Ballroom

- Thursday, October 1: Graduate School Application Prep
- Get feedback on your personal statement from representatives from the OCC.
- 10:00 am – 2:00 pm, Huey P. Long Field House Ballroom
- Friday, October 2: CHSE Carnival
- Meet with representatives from Campus Federal Credit Union and the Olinde Career Center.
- 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm, Huey P. Long Field House Lawn
