Instrument Scheduling & Training

Like other facilities at LSU, the X-ray Crystallography Facility uses the  Faces Scheduling System  developed and maintained at the Complex Carbohydrate Research Center at The University of Georgia. The X-ray Crystallography Facility group on Faces is called "LSUXRAY". The scheduling system includes schedules for the MALDI and the Advion ExpressIon systems. These schedules cover an entire week, 24/7.

Please note that the schedules allow you to book up to 8 hours per session.

Training

Only people that have cleared the Radiation Safety test from LSU’s Radiation Safety Office (RSO) are allowed to use the facility and access the training. Please access the RSO training at this link: RSO training page. Currently, you need to complete modules 1 through 5 and module 8. Afterward, you will be able to schedule your exam with an RSO officer.

Please contact the facility for more details, or to schedule training.
