Academic Advising Services

The Office of Student Services in the LSU College of Science provides a variety of services to help guide students through the academic process. Some services require an advising appointment while others do not. A list of academic services is below. You are welcome to discuss any of the following with an academic counselor.

Advising Appointment Required:

  • College or CATS holds
  • Degree Audit Review
  • Distance or Online Learning enrollment requests
  • Freshmen Advising
  • Graduation Contracts
  • Midterm Grade review
  • Pre-medical and Pre-dental advising
  • Re-Entering the University
  • Review College academic probation
  • Schedule Advising
  • Secondary Education (Geaux Teach) Advising
  • Study Abroad Questions

Advising Appointment Not Requited:

Email science@lsu.edu for assistance with the following:

  • Submit Admission to College of Science application
  • Invoke Grade Exclusion Policy
  • Submit appeal request (advising encouraged if considering to submit an appeal)
  • Change or Declare a major within the College of Science
  • Final Exam Change Request
  • Resigning from the University
  • Submit Second Discipline Applications
  • Submit Upper Division Honors Applications
