Armed Robbery
WCA West Lot
LSUPD received a delayed report of an armed robbery that occurred on October 23, 2026, at approximately 11:00 p.m. near the WCA West Lot. The victim had arranged to meet an individual to sell an item advertised on an online marketplace. During the meeting, the individual brandished a firearm, took the items, and fled.
When arranging an in-person marketplace exchange, choose a well-lit, busy public location. Consider bringing someone with you, tell someone where and when you are meeting, and do not meet at an isolated location. Decline requests to move the meeting to a secluded or unfamiliar area. If you feel unsafe, leave and call 911 in case of an emergency.
