Robin LaHaye
Graduate Assistant, Student Services
When I was looking at Masters programs, I knew that I wanted to have an assistantship in an area I genuinely could see myself doing as a full-time job in the future. What drew me towards Career Services is an advisor that I had during my undergrad who helped me with picking a major when I had no idea what I wanted to do. I am so grateful for that advisor, and I wanted to try helping students in the same way.

Home is where the heart is
I grew up in Virginia, but I have always been an LSU Tigers fan. My parents are from Louisiana, so I was raised in purple and gold. Our family dogs were even named after LSU Football players!
My favorite campus spot
Tiger Stadium of course! The energy during football games is so electric and unique to LSU. I still remember walking into the stadium for the first time when I was 12.
Words matter
“There is the saying of practice makes perfect, but that is not true. Practice doesn’t make perfect, practice makes permanent.”You have to accept that nothing will ever be perfect. If you practice something incorrectly over and over it becomes much harder to correct and change in the future. So if you want something in your life to change, do it. The longer you wait, the harder it will be to change.
