About Upward Bound
Upward Bound, a Federal TRIO Program, was originally established when Congress passed the Higher Education Act of 1965 to promote higher education equity. Since 2012, LSU has helped qualified scholars acquire a comprehensive skillset needed to obtain a college degree and achieve their career and professional goals. Our rigorous year-round programs ensure equal access, retention, and success in higher education for all participants, through providing counseling to improve financial and economic literacy, as well as tutoring, educational and career guidance, plus cultural enrichment activities.
