Stories Read by Scientists
LSU faculty, students, and alumni are invited to teach participants about their research areas by reading a children’s book covering their research topic.
STEM Story Time
The LSU College of Science and Office of Academic Innovation and Engagement invites children in kindergarten through third grade to explore the worlds of math and science through an exciting science story time adventure led by some of the university’s top scientists and mathematicians. Each story time is followed by a fun, hands-on activity that allows the young scientists to feed their curiosity and take an even deeper dive into a math and science discovery.
Geaux Science Explorations STEM Story Time is free and open to the public.

After the reading, participants have the opportunity to ask our readers questions about the new things they’ve learned.
Engaged Learning
Participants get to put their new knowledge to the test by engaging in hands-on science activities with student organizations.
Exploring Science
The activities will correspond to the story, so participants will get to fully explore the new topic they’ve learned about.
