Technologies for industrial decarbonization are not well understood by non-experts.
Mistrust of many institutions that have provided information about science and technology.
Barriers to civic engagement for residents of communities with Environmental Justice concerns.
Assessing local and more global risks/benefits of decarbonization projects.

The challenges for our team are:

To develop an accessible, two-way communication platform
To provide unbiased and technically accurate assessments
To assemble and process data collected through community engagements
To create teaching resources based on work with specific communities & make available to other Gulf Coast communities.
