Jinyeong Son

Jinyeong Son is an Assistant Professor of Economics at Louisiana State University. Prior to joining LSU, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow in Health Care Markets, Policy, and Regulation at Harvard University.

As an applied microeconomist, his primary research interests are in health economics, public economics, and labor economics. Much of his current research focuses on (i) understanding how the evolving health care environment shapes access to health care, utilization, and health outcomes and (ii) examining the determinants of children's human capital accumulation, particularly through the lens of health status and the living environment.

He received his PhD in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin in 2024 and his MA and BA in Economics from Seoul National University in 2018 and 2013, respectively.
