Mike Morgan joined the faculty in 2023. Mike is a Certified Public Accountant. Prior to his teaching career, he served as Chief Financial Officer of several technology companies. Mike’s primary teaching interests are Intermediate Accounting and Governmental Accounting. He was selected as Outstanding Teacher in the LSU Department of Accounting in 2025. In February 2026, Mike joined the Board of Trustees of the Teachers Retirement System of Louisiana (TRSL), the largest public pension fund in the State of Louisiana. Mike represents employees of higher education on the TRSL board. Mike welcomes professional speaking engagements. During his time at LSU, he has made presentations at the Mississippi Society of CPAs Annual Convention (2023), the Governmental Finance Officers of Louisiana Winter Conference (2024) and the LSU Fraud and Forensic Accounting Conference (2025).
