Michael Eberhard
Director of Wellness and Health Promotion
I pursued a career in social work and student affairs higher education because of
the professionals in this field that supported and guided me as a young person.
A metaphor I like to use is the “bowling alley of my life”, where many mentors, coaches, advisors, and counselors that invested in me, served as bumpers keeping me out of the gutter and on track toward my goals. I am committed to being that person for others.
I do this work because of the impact I can have in supporting students one on one and addressing systems that inhibit their health, safety, and success.

Advice I don't leave home without
Be a student of life. Remember that you don’t know what you don’t know, and embrace every person you meet and experience you have as an opportunity to learn and grow.
Alternate career
If I didn't work in wellness and health promotion, I would love to be a stay at home dad.
Causes I'm passionate about
I’m passionate about preventing harm and suffering and promoting holistic health and wellness in our society.
