Telemedicine Offered Through LSU First

Effective November 1, 2019, LSU First has partnered with Health Anywhere, powered by Lafayette General Health, to provide telemedicine services to LSU First participants at a First Choice network benefit level. First Choice Provider claims are paid at 100% after HRA (Health Reimbursement Account) is exhausted.

Telemedicine allows health care professionals to evaluate, diagnose and treat patients at a distance using technology. This service will allow members to video chat with local Board Certified Healthcare Providers from your home, office, or anywhere you may need care. With Health Anywhere, members will have the opportunity to see and speak to providers for multiple symptoms, such as allergies, ear infections, flu-like symptoms, sinus infections, sore throats, minor cuts and burns, and more. Health Anywhere services are available to LSU First members 24 hours a day, 7 days a week throughout the state of Louisiana for patients 3 years and older. How To Get Started

  1. Get the App - Download the iOS or Android mobile app “Health Anywhere” or visit www.lghealthanywhere.com.
  2. Register – Open the app, and enter all required information. You will select “LSU First” as your insurance provider. You will select “LSU First” as your insurance provider and put in your Member ID number. No service key is required. You will not need to enter any credit card information.
  3. Get Better – Simply select a provider and start a visit. You’ll then be connected via video chat. All prescriptions will be sent directly to your designated pharmacy for pick-up.
