Winter Break Closing

Residence halls close for winter break on December 9, 2023, at 8 p.m.

Residents in residence halls - not apartments - must vacate the room within 24-hours of your last exam or by December 9, 2023, at 8 p.m., whichever comes first.

Attend your floor's closing meeting the last week in November, and view the checklist from your RA for steps to prepare for winter break, like thawing out refrigerator, removing bedding, setting temperature, etc.

Email your live-in staff by Wednesday, December 6, 2023, to request ax extension to remain in the hall until noon on Sunday, December 10, 2023.

If you are not returning to on-campus housing for the spring semester, review spring cancellation penalties and officially cancel your housing agreement, preferably by December 1, and complete a check-out appointment with your live-in staff.

Remove your belongings and turn in keys by Saturday, December 9, 2023, at 8:00 p.m

If you cancel after December 9, 2023, contact us to arrange a date/time to remove your belongings.

January Reopening

Residence halls reopen at 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 13, 2024.

If you're moving to campus for the first time, staff is available at your community's service desk to check you in between 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. January 13-15, 2024.

Notify us if you will arrive after the first day of classes so we can hold your space.
May Closing

Vacate the res hall by 8 p.m. on Saturday, May 11, 2024, or within 24-hours of your last exam, whichever comes first.

Email your live-in staff by Wednesday, May 8, 2024, to request to remain in the hall until 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 12.

Follow check-out instructions given by your in-hall staff. Note that after you complete the check out walk through with your RA and approve your room's condition report, a professional staff member will also inspect the room to confirm its condition before entering any charges to your account.

Winter Break

East Campus Apartments, West Campus Apartments, Edward Gay Apartments, and Nicholson Gateway Apartments remain open during the winter break.

Students graduating in December must check out and remove all belongings by Saturday, December 16, 2023, at 8 p.m.
