At every level of housing and residential education, the focus is on students and helping them understand that the college transition can be scary and a lot to process, but it's worth it every step of the way.

I chose to work in housing and residential education because it helped shaped who I was in college. I went to so many programs my RAs put on, joined a living-learning community, and became an RA.

I learned so much while living on campus. The biggest lesson was seeing the impact community has and how much even a single RA can shape a community. -Caroline

If I didn't have this job, what would I do?

I’d be a social worker. I’d likely be in a private practice setting as a clinical social worker working with LGBTQ+ adolescents in individual and family counseling settings.

My favorites

I’m a huge fan of Killing Eve and Critical Role.  I also love the Eragon book series...we just don’t talk about that one movie.

Oh, the places I've been

I grew up in Houston, TX, but spent my early adult life growing into myself in Maryland on the Eastern shore.  Now I'm in Baton Rouge!
