Maura McErlean

Maura McErlean is a quick-witted and versatile actor with an affinity for period dramas and quirky comedies. Her ease and mastery of text, vulnerability, and biting charm breathe life into her performances on stage and screen. Most recently, she’s played Georgian-era actress Ellen Tree in Lolita Chakrabarti’s Red Velvet, and spunky ingenue Alice Heminges in Lauren Gunderson’s The Book of Will. Maura has worked regionally at the Walnut Street Theatre (Philadelphia, PA), Swine Palace (Baton Rouge, LA), Open Stage (Harrisburg, PA), Atlantic City Theatre Co. (Atlantic City, NJ) and more. At LSU, Maura has served as voice & speech coach for several stage productions and is skilled in a variety of accents including RP, Cockney, Irish & Northern Irish, Southern (various) and Brooklyn. She looks forward to relocating to NYC after completing her MFA this summer.
