Spend A Day With Tiger Band

TBD 2023 // LSU Baton Rouge Campus

Current high school band students in grades 10 - 12 on eligible instruments can experience the unique opportunity to perform in Tiger Stadium with the LSU Tiger Marching Band during the annual LSU Spring Football Game. This event is only open to students who play woodwind, brass, and percussion (snares, tenors/quads, bass, cymbals only) instruments.

What Students Must Bring

  • You must bring your own instrument/equipment (including drums). Unfortunately, we are not able to provide instruments.
  • Percussionists must provide their sticks/mallets and are allowed to bring drum stands for instruments.
  • Uniform required: a white t-shirt and khaki shorts.

 

Registration & Cost

Registration date and costs for 2023 are TBD.

If you are unable to eat the meals provided, please plan to bring a packed meal. No special meals will be provided.

Event Schedule

A draft itinerary is below, subject to adjustment based on changes to the overall Spring Football Game event.

  • 7:30 a.m.
    Registration opens at the Old Band Hall
  • 8:30 a.m.
    Meeting with parents in the Old Band Hall (Optional)
  • 8:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
    Students have sectionals with Tiger Band section leaders
  • 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
    Full ensemble rehearsal with current Tiger Band members
  • 11:30 - 12:10 p.m.
    Lunch
  • Approximately 1:00 p.m.
    Spring game starts
  • Approximately 3:00 p.m.
    Spring game concludes
