2025 Bootcamp for Entrepreneurs Supports Local Business Community

BATON ROUGE - The LSU Stephenson Entrepreneurship Institute (SEI) will hold the 2025 Bootcamp for Entrepreneurs on five consecutive Saturdays from August 2 – August 30, with a final graduation session on Monday, September 8, all at the LSU Business Education Complex.

The program helps small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs through intensive educational sessions taught by LSU E. J. Ourso College of Business faculty. These lessons are augmented by input from subject matter experts and thriving local entrepreneurs. Topics range from developing a viable business concept and understanding target markets to designing a profit model, setting up operations properly, marketing your venture, and understanding fundamental financial analysis.

In addition to training sessions, participants will receive all instructional materials, including session presentations and 80 Steps to Sustainable Success: The UPBI Handbook on Building a Business by Michael Morris.

The Bootcamp for Entrepreneurs is made possible by several partnerships, including the City of Baton Rouge, Southern University Law Center, Baton Rouge Area Chamber, NexusLA, the United States Small Business Administration, Louisiana Economic Development, and Louisiana Small Business Development Center.

The cost of participation in the program is $450, and partial scholarships ($250) are available to qualified applicants. Registration is open through July 18 unless the program reaches capacity before that time.
