E. J. Ourso College of Business Earns AACSB Accreditation for Another Five Years

June 28, 2021

The LSU E. J. Ourso College of Business has secured its business accreditation by AACSB International – The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business for another five years. AACSB International is the longest-serving global accrediting body for business schools that offer undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral degrees in business and accounting.

AACSB Accreditation is the hallmark of excellence in business education and has been earned by less than five percent of the world’s business programs.

“The AACSB reaccreditation review provides a great opportunity to document the E. J. Ourso College’s recent efforts to improve educational and professional opportunities for our students and also to chart a path through the challenges we face to ensure continuous improvement into the future. I am grateful to everyone who contributed to this effort,” said Timothy Chandler, Associate Dean for Undergraduate Programs and Assessment.

“I am extremely proud that the commitment and accomplishments of our faculty, staff, and students were once again recognized by the AACSB. Looking forward, we will continue to provide our students with high quality and innovative educational, research, and professional opportunities, and we will do so with a commitment to ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all those in the college. Our future is looking brighter than ever,” added Jared Llorens, Dean of the E. J. Ourso College of Business.

As the world’s largest business education alliance, AACSB International—The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) connects educators, students, and business to achieve a common goal: to create the next generation of great leaders. Synonymous with the highest standards of excellence since 1916, AACSB provides quality assurance, business education intelligence, and professional development services to over 1,500 member organizations and more than 785 accredited business schools worldwide. With its global headquarters in Tampa, Florida, USA; Europe, Middle East, and Africa headquarters in Amsterdam, the Netherlands; and Asia Pacific headquarters in Singapore, AACSB’s mission is to foster engagement, accelerate innovation, and amplify impact in business education.
