Workplace Effectiveness Series

Effective workplaces recognize that employees are an organization’s greatest resource and have the potential to make a critical difference in the organization’s ability to achieve its goals and thrive.

To be truly effective, a workplace must have practices, policies, initiatives, programs, and a culture that benefits the organization and its employees. Effective workplaces are associated with higher employee engagement, productivity, satisfaction, creativity, collaboration, adaptability, innovation, and retention.

Seminar One: Creating a Morale Building  with Kerry Sauley

Organizational culture can dramatically impact an organization’s overall success. Employee morale (positive or negative) is dependent on an organization’s culture. Healthy organizational culture boosts morale which in turn increases employee and organizational effectiveness. Difficult and dysfunctional cultures work in the opposite direction, dragging down results and diminishing morale. This dynamic and interactive learning seminar will provide attendees with tools, tips, and techniques on how to foster and maintain a morale-building culture within their teams, departments, and organization. This seminar is part of the Workplace Effectiveness Series.

Seminar Two: Building Trust in the Workplace with Kerry Sauley

Trust is critical in the workplace. Trusting relationships among employees and especially between your employees and their leaders create the foundation for fostering a successful organization with high levels of collaboration, increased creativity, calculated risk-taking, more effective execution of business strategy, and increased commitment and loyalty to your company.  Where people can work collaboratively and truly trust one another, you will find high-functioning, accountable, outcome-driven teams and organizations.

LSU Executive Education’s Building Trust in the Workplace seminar will teach you how to build and foster trust to increase engagement, collaboration, positivity, creativity, and commitment. This seminar is part of the Workplace Effectiveness Series.

Seminar Three: Encourage Positivity and Motivation in the Workplace with E.J. Smith

Positive thinking in the workplace has been proven to have a significant impact on employee motivation and employee productivity. This interactive two-hour Workplace Effectiveness Series seminar will provide tools, tips, and tactics that leaders can utilize to create and sustain an environment of positivity and motivation within the workplace. This seminar is part of the Workplace Effectiveness Series.

Seminar Four: Maximize the Success of Your Employee Onboarding Process with Kellie Barton

Companies that deliver both an informative orientation AND implement an effective onboarding program during the first months of employment will experience greater employee retention, an increase in employee productivity and satisfaction and, higher employee engagement.  The sooner new hires start feeling a part of your team, department, and organization the sooner they will start contributing at full capacity.

This seminar will offer innovative ways that organizations can help new hires orient into the organization, quickly learn the performance expectations of their new job, and integrate into your workplace culture. You’ll walk away from this seminar with an understanding of the difference between orientation and onboarding and an understanding of why delivering both is essential.  You’ll be provided with tools, tips, and best practices on how to build and deliver an effective onboarding program and how to host an informative new hire orientation.  You’ll also learn about key information that every new employee wants from their organization.  This seminar is part of the Workplace Effectiveness Series.

Seminar Five: Assessing Employee Performance, Potential, and Readiness with Michelle Boullion

To prepare for the future, successful organizations continually invest in employee succession planning and management. These organizations ensure that current leaders continually upskill and grow professionally while also building a future talent pool by identifying and developing promising potential leaders.  This seminar will provide tools, tips, and techniques on how organizations can foster and sustain business success through succession planning for the future. Your success as a leader depends on your ability to provide feedback and coaching in ways that support effective performance, develop potential, and ensure that employees are ready for the roles and assignments you give them. This seminar is part of the Workplace Effectiveness Series.

Seminar Six: Neutralizing Toxic Employees by Fostering Respect and Civility in the Workplace with E.J. Smith

A lack of respect and civility in the workplace will drag down morale, create higher turnover, and increase risks to the employer. Disrespectful, toxic and uncivil behaviors exhibited by employees have become more prevalent and oftentimes pervasive in organizations.  These behaviors are detrimental to the well-being and productivity of employees and to the overall success of the organization.

This seminar will explore professional behavior in the workplace.  Participants will be provided with tactics that can be used to neutralize toxic employees and that will assist in building a foundation of positive behaviors that will foster and encourage respect and civility in the workplace.  This seminar is part of the Workplace Effectiveness Series.
