Maddi Sansoucie
Coordinator, Aquatics
I have always been a huge advocate for maintaining a safe and inclusive environment for all students and community members to reach their fitness, lifestyle, and professional goals. I feel as though it is essential for the success of the entire LSU community. During my time as a student supervisor, program facilitator, and instructor in multiple UREC areas, I got the opportunity to develop my leadership and teaching skills, while also being able to work on professional development in many different spaces. Now as professional staff, I am able to help students just like myself from a few years ago reach their professional goals while providing education and fostering care for aquatics safety. Knowing I play such a critical role in keeping this facility safe and operational while being a mentor to such a wonderful group of students is why I chose to do the work that I do.

My Story
I was born and raised in a town just outside of Boston, Massachusetts. I grew up going
to Red Sox games at Fenway Park, camping up in New Hampshire and Maine, and living
in super cold, snowy, winter weather!
Film Junkie
I love going to see new movies, but my all-time top 3 favorites are: How to Train Your Dragon (original animated), Blade Runner 2049, and Star Wars: A New Hope.
Motto to Live By
"The answer is always no until you ask." - You'll never know unless you ask, and you may regret one day never asking!
