August 26, 2022

U.S. Sen. Bill Cassidy toured the LSU Petroleum Engineering Research, Training and Testing Laboratory during a recent visit, where he learned how the lab serves as an essential asset in the development of petroleum tools used in drilling and production.

“For Louisiana to prosper, we need to adapt to the new economy,” Cassidy said. “In a variety of ways, we saw today how LSU is seizing the opportunity and developing the potential to help our state transition the way we must.”

LSU continues to develop applied research that focuses on meeting regional needs, helping to guide Louisiana and lead the Gulf Coast into the future.
