LSU to delay start time Wednesday until 12:30 p.m.

Due to winter weather conditions, LSU will delay its start time Wednesday, January 17, until 12:30 p.m. 

All classes and activities scheduled to begin prior to 12:30 p.m. are cancelled. The Law Center and the Vet School will communicate separately with their students and staff about their operations. 

The delayed start does not apply to classes in the LSU Online program, which will proceed as scheduled. The University Laboratory School and the LSU Early Childhood Education Laboratory Preschool will be closed all day tomorrow.

The weather forecast for tomorrow is predicting temperatures at or below freezing, so please dress in layers to provide insulation and trap heat. Wear a hat, gloves, and a scarf to protect your extremities from the cold.

Essential employees should check with their supervisors about whether they should report to campus earlier than 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Office of Human Resource Management will send instructions for time entry for the delayed start to all timekeepers in a follow-up email. 

LSU Residence Halls and Dining Halls will remain open, but please check LSU Dining’s website and social media accounts for adjusted hours of dining operations.
