What is Art & Design?
A major in art and design gives you the freedom to explore your creativity while combining it with another passion. You'll study core visual art skills, like drawing, design, and composition, while combining this with a minor or double major in a different field. Use your creativity in a variety of settings, working in areas like animation and digital art, web or graphic design, video production, interior design, fashion, art therapy, education, entrepreneurship, and more. This flexible, liberal arts-based degree helps you prepare for creative careers across today’s most exciting hybrid industries.
The LSU School of Art offers a Bachelor of Arts in Art and Design, with an option of concentration in Art History. Bachelor of Fine Arts programs with concentrations in Digital Art, Graphic Design, and Studio art.
