CAS Events
The LSU Center for Academic Success hosts a number of events for both students and faculty to help improve student learning and academic success. Students can join us throughout the semester in our Signature Series and Impact workshops for help with common college learning challenges and to prepare them for different points in the semester. Faculty can encourage their students to attend these workshops and are also welcomed to the CAS Faculty Focus workshop.
Signature Strategies
The CAS Signature Strategies addresses common challenges students face: time management,
goal setting, efficient learning strategies, test preparation and stress management.
Workshops are held three times each semester.
Subject Specific Strategy Workshops
Offered for BIOL, CHEM, MATH, PHYS, PSYC, and SOCL, these workshops provide specific strategies for how to best perform in your course. Learn how to successfully approach material and optimize your time when studying.
Academic Kick-Off
Join us each fall on Tower Drive between Coates Hall and The Student Union for free food and drinks, games and important information on academic services and programs.
Promise Scholars
As an LSU Promise Scholar, you are eligible for exclusive programming and resources to help maintain your scholarship, achieve academic success, and reach personal goals.
Impact
Impact helps students who attend to increase their GPAs, develop effective study and time management habits, and be better able to maintain scholarship requirements.
Sophomores Rise
This program is specifically designed for rising sophomores to get a jump start on academic success
