LSU Career Expos (virtual for Fall 2020)

LSU's Career Expos connect nearly 2,000 students and alumni of all majors with over 200 employers from across the country to form valuable career connections through a day of networking. 

Event Dates and Attendees

Career Expo is broken into two event days for Fall 2020:

  • STEM Career Expo
    • Tuesday, September 15 from 10 a.m.—3 p.m. Early entry from 9—10 a.m for employers who are Gold and Silver Corporate Partners, students and alumni. 
    • Students and alumni in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math and related majors will attend this event to learn about potential employers, internships, co-ops, part-time and full-time positions.
  • Business, Government and Nonprofit Career Expo
    • Tuesday, September 22 from 10 a.m.—3 p.m. Early entry from 9—10 a.m for employers who are Gold and Silver Corporate Partners, students and alumni.
    • Students and alumni interested in careers in business, government, and nonprofit sectors will attend this event to learn about potential employers, internships, co-ops, part-time and full-time positions. (This event was previously named the Business and Liberal Arts Career Fair).

Virtual Event Details

Fall 2020 Career Expos will be offered in a virtual format, hosted by the LSU Olinde Career Center through the Easy Virtual Fair online platform. All students, alumni, and registered employers will receive access to training and tips for virtual career event success in advance of the event.

Career Expo events are open to current students of LSU System campuses and alumni from the Baton Rouge campus.

Registration Information

To register:

  1. Log into Handshake to register for the event and select any event sponsorship options. Not a Handshake user? Create your free account today!
  2. Select the "Fairs" tab on the left navigation menu
  3. Search for this event by entering "Louisiana State University" in the search bar. All LSU open event registrations will appear for you to browse. Select the event you would like to register for and proceed with the registration form.

Event Cost

  • Business Entity Registration Fee (per Expo day) $400.00
  • Government/Nonprofit Entity Registration Fee (per Expo day) $225.00
  • Louisiana State University Entity Registration Fee (per Expo day) $120.00

Career Expo Event Sponsor Benefits

  • Virtual Career Fair Placement:
    • Your organization’s booth link(s) will be placed in a Preferred Location on the employer listing page that students view within the virtual career event platform. This placement will keep you top-of-mind for students browsing employers during the event. Placement is at the discretion of the LSU Olinde Career Center.
  • Student Promotion:
    • Your organization will be promoted as an Event Sponsor on the Career Expo event web page, Handshake Career Expo student and employer event pages, and in all student and employer emails promoting Career Expo.
      Your organization will be recognized during Career Expo* as an Event Sponsor and in an @LSUCareerCenter social media post related to the event. You are also encouraged to tag @LSUCareerCenter in your social media posts and stories so that we can share onto our channels.

Sponsorship is $1,000 per Expo day.

*Please note that sponsorships and relevant logos received after September 4 for STEM Career Expo and after September 11 for Business, Government and Nonprofit Career Expo will not be recognized on the event landing page due to design deadlines.
