Communications & Engagement Coordinator

Kaitlyn Chase Headshot

Growing up in Baton Rouge, I’ve spent my entire life rooting for the Tigers. Coming back in a professional role feels incredibly special. I know how overwhelming career decisions can be, and how much it helps to have people in your corner. I do this work to give back to the community that shaped me and to support students as they navigate something that can feel daunting.

At the Career Center, I get to combine my love for LSU with my passion for storytelling to connect students to the resources and opportunities that help them feel confident about what comes next.

My Ready to Roar Advice

Say yes to opportunities that let you practice professional skills, even if it feels outside your comfort zone. Group projects, presentations, and campus involvement are chances to build skills employers value long before you graduate.

Tastes of the City

My favorite thing about Baton Rouge is the food scene. I love trying new places, but I always circle back to my favorites: Rock-N-Sake, Chow Yum, Barracuda, and Mid City Beer Garden.

The OG Swiftie

Taylor Swift was my first musical love and the first concert I ever went to, which was the Red Tour in 2013. I’ve seen her live five times, and she’s been my number one artist on Spotify for five years in a row. Evermore is my favorite album.

Five-star Films

  • Little Women (2019) – My comfort movie
  • Crazy, Stupid, Love – The best rom-com ever made
  • Get Out – My favorite horror film
