LSU’s Park & Geaux program is already helping students, faculty, and staff enjoy a more convenient, affordable, sustainable, and stress-free commute. Now, the program is getting even better. With new enhancements on the way, Park & Geaux will continue to provide a predictable transportation experience that makes getting around campus more convenient than ever.

Starting each day on campus should feel routine, not rushed, and that’s the goal behind LSU Park & Geaux.

“It saves you time. It saves you money. It saves you stress,” said Broty Stelly, communications specialist for Parking & Transportation Services.

LSU's shuttle-based transportation system is designed to help students, faculty, and staff move through their daily routines as efficiently as possible. With a designated parking lot and reliable shuttle service, commuters can rely on knowing exactly where to park and what to expect, eliminating the frustration of circling campus in search of an available space.

To make the experience more accessible and enjoyable, a new Park & Geaux Mobility Hub will offer drivers a more comfortable and pleasant environment while waiting for their shuttle.

“This building will feature air conditioning, ample seating, restrooms, vending machines, digital information screens, and more. It's more than just a bus stop—it's a place where students, faculty, and staff can study, grab a snack, or simply relax before heading to campus," said Tammy Millican, executive director of Organizational Development and Campus Outreach for Facility & Property Oversight.

A Reliable Service for All

Many drivers may not realize that Park & Geaux is available to all permit holders. The service is not limited to a specific permit type. Any LSU parking permit holder can use the service as a simpler and more convenient way to reach campus.

To improve service and reduce travel times, LSU has expanded both shuttle routes and the number of buses serving the Park and Geaux route. Four buses operate continuously, making frequent stops at key campus destinations, including the Student Union, Patrick Taylor Hall, and Lockett Hall. Users can also track the buses' locations in real time on the TransLoc app

Safety remains a priority in the design and operation of Park & Geaux. The program is part of LSU's broader effort to create an environment where students can focus on academics, involvement, and campus life without transportation becoming an added concern. By investing in infrastructure and transportation services that support daily movement across campus, LSU continues to prioritize the well-being of students while creating a more seamless and accessible environment for the entire university community.

Small Habits; Big Difference

Park & Geaux works best when students build it into their routine:

  • Check shuttle arrival times before leaving for campus. Shuttle service begins at 6 a.m. and runs until 10 p.m.
  • Arrive early during peak travel hours for a relaxed start to the day
  • Choose the most convenient drop-off for class locations
  • Use travel time productively by reviewing notes, catching up on emails, or preparing for the day ahead.

These simple habits help students move through campus feeling prepared and confident.

Moving LSU Forward

Park & Geaux plays an important role in keeping LSU accessible, organized, and student focused. By encouraging shared transportation and reliable campus movement, the program supports a more connected campus community.

At its core, Park & Geaux is about more than parking; it’s about creating a calm, predictable start to every LSU day.
