Dear LSU Baton Rouge Community,

As I begin my first week as President of the LSU System, it’s an honor to join the outstanding faculty, staff, and students of LSU’s flagship campus in Baton Rouge — a university whose excellence, innovation, and impact extend across Louisiana and around the world.

As the state flagship, LSU Baton Rouge stands at the heart of our mission — advancing discovery, educating the next generation of leaders, and driving economic growth and opportunity for all. The work taking place here touches every corner of our state, from groundbreaking research and world-class academics to service and outreach that strengthen Louisiana’s communities. 

My commitment is to ensure that LSU continues to grow as a top-tier research university, while offering a premier experience for students. Together with EVP and Chancellor Dr. James Dalton, we will build on the momentum already in motion — expanding our research enterprise, deepening collaboration across campuses, and ensuring that every student who chooses LSU leaves ready to lead and make a difference.
