Veterinary Teaching Hospital

Welcome to the LSU Veterinary Teaching Hospital

The LSU Veterinary Teaching Hospital is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year to serve animals. We have the most board-certified specialists under one roof in Louisiana and offer a variety of specialty services, as well as primary care for animals. We have specialists in anesthesiology, cardiology, ophthalmology, zoological medicine, oncology, internal medicine, dermatology, surgery, pathology, diagnostic imaging, and integrative medicine and physical rehabilitation.

LSU Sporting Events

The Veterinary Teaching Hospital remains open during LSU sporting events. If you need to bring your pet to the hospital on a home football game day, we advise you to take River Road to Skip Bertman Drive. We reserve spots in our parking lot for our clients and tow anyone parking there who is not bringing an animal to the hospital. If there is a police officer at the corner of River Road and Skip Bertman Drive, tell them that you're taking an animal to the hospital, and they will let you through. Call 225-578-9600 if you are not allowed access.
