LSU Vet Med gave out over $230,000 in scholarships and awards in 2022

In 2022, the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine gave out $232,950 in scholarships and awards. 

Students received monetary awards, memberships to professional organizations, journal subscriptions, plaques, certificates and veterinary medicine manuals and supplies. Since 2012, the LSU SVM has distributed more than $2 million in scholarships and awards thanks to the generosity of private citizens, foundations, organizations, and corporations.

First-, second-, and third-year students who received scholarships and awards are listed below by class and then alphabetically. 

CLASS OF 2023

Kevin Cali, from Randolph, N.J., received the Salsbury Endowed Fund for Veterinary Medicine Scholarship and the LVMA Outstanding Student Award.

Alexandra Cerrato, from Kingwood, Texas, received the Salsbury Endowed Fund for Veterinary Medicine Scholarship.

Young Cho, from La Mirada, Calif., received the Louisiana Academy of Veterinary Practice Companion Animal Scholarship.

Kierra Coleman, from Monroe, La., received the John D. Rhoades Leadership Scholarship.

Amy Crumlich, from Corinth, Mass., received the Open House Award of Appreciation.

Megan Daggett, from Brusly, La., received the Perry B. LeCates, Sr. Memorial Scholarship.

Samantha Dantin, from Destrehan, La., received the Salsbury Endowed Fund for Veterinary Medicine Scholarship.

Sharon Gaines, from West Monroe, La., received the Eleanor Connell Witter of Live Oak at Cedar Lodge Farm Scholarship.

Patrick Hall, from Metairie, La., received the Dr. Barry Robert Memorial Scholarship.
