TIAMS brings exceptional mathematicians and scientists together for sustained work on important problems — creating new mathematical models, new collaborations, new research directions, and new opportunities for LSU.
Our current programs begin with quantum science, mathematics, and theoretical science,
but the larger vision extends across science: mathematics building and using the models
needed in physics, materials, computation, biology, medicine, and emerging areas of
discovery.

Flexible funding to launch short programs, bring exceptional researchers to LSU, and
seed new collaborations quickly.
MEDIUM-TERM — PERMANENCE
A permanent core supporting sustained programs, visitors, postdocs, students, and
staff year after year.

Multiple long and short programs each year across several fields, with a national and international community of visitors, fellows, postdocs, schools, and workshops.
