Campus Life

Jacob Brumfield has been named Associate Dean of Students and Director, Campus Life. He has served for nine years as Associate Director of Campus Life and eight years as Assistant Dean of Students at LSU. Jacob began his service at LSU in February 2008 prior to divisional realignments that created Campus Life within the Office of the Dean of Students in July 2008 from the former LSU Student Union Programs Department and the Center for Student Leadership and Involvement. Greek Life

Donald Abels now serves as Assistant Director/IFC Advisor. Prior to joining our Greek Life staff, he served as the Coordinator of Fraternity and Sorority Life at the University of Mississippi and Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU). He received a Master's in Higher Education Administration from MTSU, where he also earned his Bachelor's in Organizational Communication: Nonprofit Leadership. Camille Beste joins us as a Coordinator. She is a 2017 graduate of LSU where she received an undergraduate degree in Psychology. Camille is a member of Kappa Delta sorority and served as Epsilon chapter's Vice President of Operations. See more about Camille at the Greek Life staff page.

Student Government

Cortney Greavis joins us as Student Government Financial Coordinator. She moved to ODOS from University Recreation, where she served as the Assistant Business Manager for six years. She is no stranger to ODOS or the LSU community as she has served in various positions around campus (including Student Government) throughout her 16 years on campus. Cortney completed her undergraduate degree at LSU and received a Master's in Human Resource Education here. In her free time, she enjoys watching HGTV shows, SCIFI movies, and couponing.

Kyle O’Neal started July 19 as Associate Director of Employer Relations with us. He has previous experience in employer relations, career services, banking and management.

Greg Burbank joins us as Computer Manager from the LSU Design College and Coastal Sustainability Studio (CSS) as an information technology (IT) Analyst after serving from September 2015 to May 2017. Previously, Greg worked for the Chevron Corporation as a contract IT Analyst for over nine years. His support interests scale across a large area of technology fields including design and architectural hardware and software management, system and data processing and automation, network engineering support, mobile technologies, website development and maintenance, LAN/WAN management and Microsoft Server Management. Greg is originally from Lafayette and is a retired veteran with 24 years of service.

John E. Lewis is returning to LSU Residential Life as a Computer Analyst after working with AWC Inc. since his LSU graduation in May 2017. His role with AWC involved network management, database management, disaster recovery, business continuity, hardware support, Voice Over IP and information security. He has been doing Information Technology work for over six years with nearly four of those at Residential Life. When not volunteering with local non-profits, John hopes to continue his graduate studies and is glad to be back with Residential Life. Originally from Atlanta, his undergraduate degree from LSU is in Computer Engineering.

Brittany Juneau is the new Accounts Payable Coordinator for Residential Life. For 11 years before accepting this position, she held the position of Coordinator of Business Relations at the LSU Center for Computation and Technology (CCT). Originally from New Iberia, she lived for four years in Alexandria before moving to Baton Rouge to study at LSU. She is excited about this new opportunity and looks forward to growing with Res Life!

Scott Moreau was born in Baton Rouge and has lived here most of his life. He graduated from LSU with a degree in Accounting and holds an active CPA license. He has been employed at LSU approximately 18 years. Prior to joining the Residential Life team as the Director of Financial & Human Resource Services, Scott worked in the LSU Office of Research & Economic Development as the Director of Financial Operations.

Briana Cresswell will join us as Residence Life Coordinator (RLC) in Kirby Smith Hall this fall. She is finishing work at the University of Central Arkansas, where she earned a Master's in College Student Personnel Services and Administration. At UCA, Briana oversaw the opening and occupancy of the Greek Village for two years. Prior to that, she spent a year as a full-time RLC at Bellarmine University. She spent last summer as an intern at NASPA headquarters.

Tory Minnifield will serve as Residence Life Coordinator (RLC) for Herget Hall this fall. He recently served as Graduate Residence Director at Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan, where he had been working to earn a Master's in Higher Educational Leadership. Tory did undergraduate work in Human Development at Rockford College in Rockford, Illinois. He worked in orientation and as an intern at Upward Bound and Trio at Wayne State University.

Alyssa Jacobs is joining our team as a Program Coordinator to directly oversee Transfer Student Programs and the Tiger Transition Team. From Milwaukee, Alyssa originally came to LSU to serve as a Recruiting Associate in the College of Engineering. She received a Bachelor's in Journalism and Communication from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Master's in Higher Education Administrative Leadership from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where she worked closely with recruiting and first-year programming for transfer students. Alyssa loves playing with her two dogs, weightlifting, and learning about Louisiana culture!

Christina M. Coovert joined LSU Student Success as Assessment Manager after graduating from LSU with a PhD in Higher Education Leadership & Research in May. Prior to attending LSU, she earned a Master's in Higher Education Administration from the University of North Texas and Bachelor's in Business Management from Mercyhurst University. Christina’s research interest areas include college student transitions, issues related to persistence, and academic expectations.

Ryan Evans joined us as Computer Analyst II. He is a recent graduate of LSU with a Bachelor's in Computer Science. He was a student worker in Res Life as an IT Help Desk Student Technician.

Kelsey Jones joined us as Coordinator for Intramural Sports after earning a Master's in Student Personnel in Higher Education from the University of Florida. Her favorite part about working in campus recreation is working with a unique group of faculty, staff and students in helping them achieve specific fitness goals. Jeff Brocato joined us as Coordinator of Turf Operations. After spending 13 years as as Golf Course Superintendent at the Baton Rouge Country Club, he is now helping make sure UREC Fields and outdoor space are kept in great shape. See more about Jeff at the UREC site.
