Medical & Health Physics Presentation

The Ethics Institute is expanding its cross-campus reach into the College of Science, with a presentation to Medical and Health Physics...

On Friday, September 6th, the graduate students in the Medical and Health Physics seminar had the opportunity to learn about moral literacy and ethical sensitivity. Dr. Cecil Eubanks, Director of the Ethics Institute, visited Dr. Wayne Newhauser's seminar to deliver the lecture. Fourteen students learned about the importance of moral literacy and ethics in their future professions and had the opportunity to share their own thoughts on what it looks like to live and work ethically. They left with a Moral Foundations questionnaire to establish their own psychological "foundations" of morality and learned the basis of the process for making decisions in an ethical manner.

Dr. Newhauser is a member of the Ethics Institute Faculty Advisory Board and we at the Ethics Institute are grateful for his invitation to meet with his class. We are pleased to be further expanding our programs into the College of Science and look forward to even more opportunities to do so.
