SPE ATCE Alumni Reception

The Craft & Hawkins Dept of Petroleum Engineering will be hosting an alumni reception at the Society of Petroleum Engineers Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition (SPE ATCE) in San Antonio at the Ruth's Chris Steakhouse River Walk location from 6 p.m.-8 p.m., during the alumni receptions on Monday, October 16, 2023. This location is across from the Grand Hyatt San Antonio River Walk. The address is 600 E. Market St, Grand Hyatt San Antonio, in San Antonio, Texas.

SPE ATCE is the leading technical energy conference and exhibition for global E&P professionals. As the global energy map continues to shift, ATCE 2023 is focused on leading the discussions around innovation in energy and the technology developments that are building the upstream industry’s road to sustainable solutions and growth. Join the global community to reflect and discuss how companies are navigating the energy transition in this diverse sector, as well as the challenges that have arisen, including supply chain issues, skilled workforce challenges, inflation concerns, and more.

Interim Department Chair Seung Kam will be present, along with other members of the PETE faculty. At this point, Professionals in Residence Dr. Mauricio Almeida and Dr. Otto Santos have stated that they will also be in attendance at the reception.

"Following a long tradition of alumni gathering during the SPE ATCE in the past, this offers a great opportunity for LSU Tigers and friends to get connected, whether you are current students, recent graduates, or industry professionals," Kam said.

The reception menu will consist of prime beef sliders, Chipotle chicken tostatas, seared Ahi tuna, shrimp cocktail, and tomato and mozzarella caprese skewers, along with a variety of beverage options. We look forward to welcoming our alumni. Geaux Tigers!
