Alpha La

Alpha La, established by Anthropology students in the department in 1995, is the LSU chapter of Lambda Alpha, the National Anthropology Honor Society. Alpha La is devoted to promoting the field of Anthropology and recognizing outstanding academic achievement by both graduate and undergraduate students. The society encourages professional and social networking within the field by organizing the LSU Lambda Alpha Online Lecture Series, a World Anthropology Day celebration, a World Archaeology Day celebration, and other community events.
