Mission

The mission of the LSU Capstone Design Program is to provide a holistic, creative, multidisciplinary design experience to the students in an educational setting wherein they function as design engineering professionals with goals, challenges and responsibilities beyond just the technical aspects of the profession.

Important Dates

2020-2021

Project Submission Target Date: August 15, 2020 - Cutoff Deadline for Fall Semester: August 21, 2020.
Capstone Fair: 10:30 - 13:00, August 25 and 27, 2020, and 12:30 - 14:30, August 28, 2020 possibly entirely online via Zoom.
Prototype Design Proposal Presentations: 08:00 - 17:00, November 30 - December 4, 2020
Final Prototype Presentations and Project Showcase (Covid-19 schedule): 08:00 - 19:00, April 19 - April 23, 2021 

2021-2022

Project Submission Target Date: August 15, 2021
Capstone Fair: 10:30 - 13:00, August 24 and 26, 2021, and 12:30 - 14:30, August 27, 2021
Prototype Design Proposal Presentations: 08:00 - 17:00, November 29 - December 3, 2021
Final Prototype Presentations and Project Showcase: 08:00 - 19:00, April 25 - April 29, 2022
