About Us

The LSU School of Leadership & Human Resource Development prepares students to navigate the evolving working environment. Our rigorous programs foster critical thinking, creativity, and holistic education, emphasizing leadership, problem-solving, and change management skills. With a rich history of education excellence, with origins linked to the vocational teacher education programs that began as a result of the Smith‐Hughes Act in 1917, our school has continuously adapted to meet the dynamic needs of workforce development. We empower students for success in a globalized world.

In 2018, we became the School of Leadership and Human Resource Development (SLHRD), reflecting our focused commitment to human resource leadership and development.
