University Laboratory School to Host Practically Teaching: Tried and True Lessons from Master Teachers for Pre-Service and New Teachers

BATON ROUGE, LA – LSU University Laboratory School will host Practically Teaching: Tried and True Lessons from Master Teachers, an opportunity for professional development and networking designed for pre-service
teachers and teachers in their first through third years, on Saturday, February 28,
2026, from 7:30 am to 12:30 pm. The theme for this year’s conference is Inspire! 
Practically Teaching includes a light continental breakfast, keynote address and three informational sessions.
Sessions for all subjects and grades K-12 are available, all filled with high-impact,
practical and easy-to-implement ideas, lessons and strategies. This year’s keynote
speaker is Olivia Francois, the 2026 Louisiana New Teacher of the Year.
Cost to attend is $10 for pre-service teachers and $25 for first through third year
teachers.
