BATON ROUGE, LA – Allie Boquet, PhD, assistant professor of professional practice in the Lutrill & Pearl Payne School of Education, is hosting "From Research to Reality: What the Latest Special Education Evidence Actually Says - and How to Use It in Your Classroom," a free National Association of Special Education Teachers (NASET) webinar. During the panel, Boquet will discuss strategies for evaluating research and implementing evidence-based practices to improve outcomes for students and teachers in special education alongside Chelsea T. Morris, PhD, assistant professor in the College of Education & Human Sciences at the University of New Mexico.

Boquet teaches in LSU’s special education program, where she prepares future teachers for both general and special education classrooms. Her teaching emphasizes practice-based preparation and data-driven instructional decision-making to prepare future educators to effectively support students with diverse academic, behavioral and communication needs. She also serves as co-editor-in-chief of The Journal of the American Academy of Special Education Professionals, a peer- reviewed journal published by NASET.
