Impact

We’re one of LSU’s largest academic colleges, responsible for teaching 17,000 students each semester. Our 350-member faculty is, in a word, stellar. Daily, they translate a passion for the humanities and social sciences into curricula that prepare students to solve complex challenges and to respond to the evolving needs of our global society.

The Faculty funding goal is $25 million, with $24 million for faculty fellowships of $1 million each and a $1 million fund to reward and recognize faculty.

Gifts to fund faculty will:

create 24 fellowships for interdisciplinary research, with a focus on providing solutions to society's most pressing issues
establish a fund for recognizing faculty members whose leadership in and out of the classroom enriches students' Humanities & Social Sciences experience
reward and–in so doing–retain outstanding faculty members
