Congratulations to CC&E's Summer Class of 2026

Join us as we celebrate our new graduates!

This summer, eight students will be receiving their doctorates, five students will get their Masters, and nine their Masters online. Four students are graduating from Coastal & Environmental Sciences. 

Environmental Sciences PhD Faustina Owusu said she would carry the experiences she had at CC&E with her, including "Field trips with my academic advisor to project sites, Friday seminars, International Thanksgiving Potluck, engaging and interacting with high school students through the EnvironMentors Program."

Coastal Environmental Sciences graduate Paris Holman says CES taught her persistance. "I also learned about thermocline circulation, ocean acidification, coral bleaching, and the effects of it," she continued.

Brylee Freeman, a CES 3+3 student, will be continuing at LSU as a full time law student. "As a 3+3 CES student, I have already completed my first year of law school, and I will continue my legal education over the next two years. After graduation, my plan is to be an environmental plaintiff's attorney, so that I can continue to fight for and protect the people and coast of Louisiana."
