Coastal Environmental Science Is Our Passion.

Coastal Environmental Sciences Major

Students in CC&E’s Bachelor of Science in Coastal Environmental Science (CES) program use multiple disciplines to understand thoroughly the intricate relationships and processes of the natural world. One of the most valuable facets of the CES program is our focus on undergraduate student research. As early as their first year, undergraduates may assist in ongoing research projects conducted by faculty or graduate students. These often include a wide range of lab, field, and computer-related activities. By their junior and senior years, students work independently on research projects. In doing so, students drive innovation, making new discoveries and, in the process, become intellectual pioneers who play critical roles in addressing complex current and future coastal and environmental challenges. Many graduates of the program choose careers where they work to create and implement innovative solutions for a sustainable future.
