We are pleased to welcome individuals to photograph the beautiful views in our Botanic Gardens. All camera photography requires a pass, and photographers must schedule their session prior to arriving at the Botanic Gardens. Photography, filming, and/or videotaping are encouraged, and are subject to our policies.
Photography Pass Options
There are 3 photography options at the Botanic Gardens.
- Day Pass/Commercial Shoots: $200 Unlimited clients / 1 day
- Annual Pass: $500 Unlimited shooting /1 year from date of purchase
- Single Session Pass: $80 Per client / 1 day
If you have more than one client on the same day, a session fee is required for each client or you may purchase the Day Pass. We ask you give us a 1 week notice prior to your session. Once paperwork and payment are completed, you will be given a pass for your appointed time, which should be worn by the photographer in full view while shooting and then disposed of once the shoot is complete. The photography and videography guidelines outlined here include all wedding, family, engagement, prom, graduation, holiday, children, or similar events and situations. Those who have rented the facility for a function may take photographs during their rental time at no additional fee.
If you are a frequent photographer at our facility, please look into our Photography Pass. The pass is valid for unlimited sessions for one year at the LSU AgCenter Botanic Gardens. This pass is not valid for the Rural Life Museum or Windrush Gardens. Appointments should be scheduled prior to each photography session.
Photographers are welcome at the Botanic Gardens. We are pleased that you appreciate the beauty found in this tranquil garden setting. All camera photography requires a photography pass. Cell phone photography does not require a pass as long as there are no props, lighting, cell phone attachments or formal styling.
We ask that all photographers kindly comply with the following guidelines. Please respect the gardens, plants, and other visitors at all times. Do not pick, move or remove anything. Please remain on the designated paths, and not on the mulched plant beds. These areas protect small plants and the roots of others. Please do not stage a photograph in the plantings or trees, block pathways with photography equipment, or move the benches or labels. (A fee will be assessed should any damage occur.) Supervise all children for their safety and the welfare of our plants. Watch children especially near all water features. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
