If you are ready to “crack the code” to a bright future, LSU Computer Science is the place to start. Top companies like IBM have jobs waiting for computer scientists upon graduation, and a degree from LSU will put you on a career path directly to their front doors.
Check out the video below to hear from current students, grads, and professors, once just like you, who have already cracked the code:
Computer science is a rapidly evolving discipline directly or indirectly affecting many other disciplines including science and engineering, arts, and business.
You can focus on software, databases and analytics, cyber security and information assurance, networking and communications, computational science, computer graphics and visualization, or cloud computing, among others. New and emerging opportunities include app development, digital media, mobile devices, entertainment software design, big data, and video gaming.
You can have a flexible plan of study via the mandatory selection of one of four concentrations available:
- Software Engineering (SEG) Concentration
- Cloud Computing and Networking (CCN) Concentration
- Data Science and Analytics (DSA) Concentration
- Computer Science and Second Discipline Concentration
