Yes. All new undergraduate students must complete Bengal Bound Orientation to complete enrollment at Louisiana State University (not required for Graduate, Post-Baccalaureate, Visiting, or Re-Admits). Louisiana State University is committed to the orientation and academic transition of all new students.

After you submit your enrollment deposit, you will be eligible to register for Bengal Bound Orientation. You will receive an email invitation to register, the link will also be available on your Admissions Checklist. You will need your Admissions Portal Credentials to register.

Registration takes about 5 minutes to complete and the nonrefundable orientation fee is due at the time of registration.

The cost of the Bengal Bound Orientation experience is $225, which includes one guest, all costs associated with registration, 5 attempts at the ALEKS Math Assessment, technology, staffing, program materials, facilities, Welcome Week, Fall Success Week, and other new student programming.

The Bengal Bound Orientation fee is due at the time of registration and may be submitted via credit card or bank draft. It is a non-refundable fee except for the following: a student withdraws their application to attend LSU and contacts orientation@lsu.edu no later than 5 business days before their orientation date.

We invite family members to participate in Bengal Bound. Though not required, family members who serve in primary support roles are encouraged to participate in Bengal Bound along with you. The orientation fee includes one guest, and an additional guest can be added for $25 per person on-site during check-in.

We have many programs and services specifically designed for family members. Louisiana State University believes that the college experience represents a collaboration involving the student, the family of the student, and the University.

Freshman Student Advising:

The Pre-Advising & Scheduling Moodle Module will provide the necessary information for you to create your first semester schedule on your own. University College academic advisors will begin hosting drop-in appointments for new students in late April and scheduled appointments in early May.

Transfer Student Advising:

Before registering for your first semester, you should make arrangements to meet with an academic advisor to discuss your course options. To schedule an appointment with an academic advisor in your Senior College, please visit lsu.edu/admissions/academics/academic-advisors.php. You should plan to register for classes before your Bengal Bound.

Students should send verification of all credits received to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. If you have already requested and sent these items, please allow up to two weeks for processing.

Lunch is provided for students and registered guest attending the in-person on campus orientation.
