Bike Share Program

Bike Share is Here!

On July 11, Gotcha launched a full e-bike share system available to LSU students at a special reduced rate. Each bike features an electric assist, using a small motor to help you get around campus without breaking a sweat. You’re able to reserve bikes at hubs throughout campus via the Gotcha Mobility app, available in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

Use the LSU Bike Map to locate Bike Share locations around campus.

How it works

  • Download the Gotcha Mobility app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
  • Create an account using your LSU email.
  • Be sure to check off that you are an LSU student to receive the annual membership discount!
  • Enter your payment information.
  • Reserve a bike at a nearby hub.
  • Unlock it using the QR code on the handlebars.
  • Go for a spin.
  • Lock it up again at another hub.
  • End your ride in the app.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you do not end your ride at an official Gotcha hub, you will be charged a $5 out of hub fee. If you leave the service area and end your ride outside those boundaries, you will be charged a $50 out of system fee.

You will be charged a small fee to unlock your bike. The bike will track how long you ride and you will be charged $.15 per minute you use the bike. If you park your bike back at a hub, those should be the only fees that appear on your account.

If you have a problem with the Gotcha app or a bike, please contact Gotcha’s Rider Experience team by calling or texting 909-351-3656 or emailing support@ridegotcha.com.

Gotcha encourages all riders to wear helmets, but they are not always required by law. As a rider, you are required to comply with all local safety laws. Louisiana requires that any person under the age of 12 riding a bicycle, as an operator or passenger, must wear a protective bicycle helmet.
