Welcome to the LGBTQ+ Project and Safe Space Campaign webpage!  You will find a number of resources for faculty, staff, students, and community members throughout this page.  You can also learn about upcoming events, getting Safe Space Trained, and our LGBTQ+ student organizations.  We hope to see you at one of our upcoming events or trainings!

Upcoming LGBTQ+ Events

 Trans Day of Remembrance

The OMA will be celebrating Trans Day of Remembrance on November 19th by tabling in Free Speech Alley. Stop by from 10am to 2pm to sign the Trans Flag with the name of one of our fallen trans siblings to help bring awareness of the struggles experienced by our trans siblings.

LSU has over 70 family bathrooms that are accessible for LGBTQ+ students.

How to Change Your Name at LSU

Students can  change their name to have their preferred name used by LSU . Read the following document to find out how.

Tiger Card Name Change
Students can have their preferred name on their Tiger Cards. Fill out the appropriate form in the Tiger Card Office and your card will be re-printed free of charge.
