Resources for International Students
International Services
The International Services website is a valuable resource for international students. The department of International Services (IS) provides immigration advisory services to international students at LSU, conduct orientation programs for all new international students and scholars, and handle health insurance compliance for international students, among other services.
IS prepares all immigration documents necessary for bilateral exchange students to apply for a J-1 visa to participate on an exchange at LSU. IS will hand the immigration documents to the International Exchange Coordinator in the Department of Academic Programs Abroad, and the coordinator will mail the admission packet including the immigration documents to your home university's coordinator.
For ISEP students: The International Exchange Coordinator will mail your admission packet but it will not include the immigration documents. Since you are an ISEP sponsored student, ISEP will prepare and mail your immigration documents to your home coordinator.
