Scholarships/Funding Study Abroad
If you are planning to study abroad, there are many special scholarship opportunities
available to you! Scholarships are a great way to make studying abroad possible. When
you are researching scholarships, be sure to search for scholarships specifically
for your criteria. Many programs and organizations offer scholarships based on where
you wish to study, your area of study, etc. The lists we have provided on this site
are not by any means exhaustive, there are many opportunities out there offered by
various organizations that do not come in contact with LSU.
Be sure to search for scholarships that will apply to you. Keep in mind that it is never too early to begin researching scholarships for your trip, as many scholarship deadlines are early in the year (usually March).
In most (but not all) cases, financial aid is still available to you during your exchange. Financial aid is dependent on what type of exchange you participate in. Be sure to consult with the Student Financial Aid Office in Pleasant Hall to discuss how your financial aid/scholarships will apply.
